Who we are
Qosmo Collect ("Qosmo," "we") is a trading-card collection app operated by Qosmo Marketing LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (entity ID 0451227229). Qosmo Collect is a brand of that company. Contact: support@qosmocollect.com.
What we collect and why
- ✓Account info. Your email/sign-in credentials, used to create and secure your account (via Supabase authentication).
- ✓Your collection. The cards you add or scan — name, set, number, condition, grade, value, date added, and pack/rip data. Stored in our cloud database (Supabase) so your collection syncs to your account and isn't lost if you lose your phone. Tied to your account.
- ✓Card photos you capture. Stored locally on your device to display your cards; they are not uploaded to our servers for storage. (Cross-device photo sync is not currently offered.)
- ✓Card images during a scan. When you scan a card, that image is sent to our recognition partner (Ximilar) solely to identify the card. It is used to return a match — not to identify you — and is not kept afterwards. If you turn on Help improve the scanner in Profile (off by default), photos of your future scans are kept with your account, linked to it, to train our card recognition, until you turn it off; turning it off ends that immediately, and deleting your account deletes them.
- ✓Scan photos you choose to share. If you report a wrong scan and opt in, that card photo is kept to improve recognition. This is off by default. You can withdraw consent in the app, and we delete the stored photos.
- ✓Card Show Mode (vendor tools). If you sell at shows, your shows, table inventory, sales, buys, trades, costs, grading submissions and want-list notes are stored in your account and visible only to you. A want-list note can include a buyer's name and phone number that you type in; it is never published or shared, and you can delete the entry, which deletes them, or they go with your account. You can also type in other people's names as you work: who a card is held for, who you bought a card from, and who you traded with. Those stay in your account, never appear on your public table page, and are deleted with your account. A consignor's name and phone number can be erased on their own — if they have no sales or payouts on record the whole entry goes, and if they do, the name stays on those records because a payout with no payee is not a record anyone can file. If you turn on a public table page, it shows only what is for sale or sold — card name, set, number, condition, grade, asking price and how many are left — never what you paid, and it comes down when you turn it off or close out the show. If you sell cards for someone else, the consignor's name and phone number you type in, what sold for them and what you have paid them are stored in your account, shown only to you, never on the public page, and deleted with your account. A show you choose to publish to the shows directory (its name, venue, city, state and dates — nothing about your table or money) is visible to every Qosmo user.
- ✓QosmoBrain questions. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, QosmoBrain answers on your device and nothing leaves it. On other phones, your question and a short computed summary of your collection (card names, values and price movement — never your name, email, photos or account id) are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write the answer. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models under our API terms. We keep only a per-day count of questions per account to meter the free allowance — not the questions or the answers. Trade suggestions in Pairing work the same way: only the names and values of the cards being compared are sent.
- ✓Pricing lookups. To value a card we query public marketplace data (e.g., eBay sold listings via a search provider, and public TCG catalogs). We send the card's details (name/set) — never your personal information.
- ✓Basic product analytics. Limited, non-advertising usage events (for example, when a scan is corrected, a price lookup succeeds, or a show, listing or sale is recorded — counts and yes/no flags, never card names or dollar amounts) and crash reports (device model, OS version and where the app crashed — never your cards), used only to improve accuracy and reliability.
- ✓Purchases. Handled by Apple (in-app purchases) or Stripe (web purchases such as Rip Club). We never see or store your card numbers.
Welcome-gift mailing addresses. If you claim a welcome gift at qosmocollect.com/claim, we collect your name and mailing address solely to mail your free trading card and send your one-time discount code. Addresses are stored securely (never publicly readable), are never sold or shared for marketing, and you can request deletion any time at support@qosmocollect.com.
What we don't do
- ✕We don't sell your personal information.
- ✕We don't use your collection to train AI models.
- ✕We don't show third-party ads or share your data with advertisers.
- ✕QosmoBrain never sends your photos or personal information anywhere: it answers on-device when Apple Intelligence is available, and otherwise sends only a text summary of your cards to Anthropic (see above), which doesn't train on it.
Third parties we use (processors)
Supabase (secure cloud storage and authentication), Ximilar (card image recognition), SerpAPI (public eBay sold-listing pricing data), Apple (app distribution, in-app purchases, and on-device AI), Anthropic (QosmoBrain answers and trade suggestions from a text summary of the cards involved — no photos, no personal information), Stripe (web payments for Rip Club), Resend (the emails we send you, which needs your email address), Netlify (hosting qosmocollect.com), and FormSubmit (delivering a signed promoter agreement to us when a promoter fills in that form). Each processes data only to provide their part of the service.
Your choices
You can edit or delete cards anytime in the app. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@qosmocollect.com — we'll confirm when it's done. Card photos live on your device, so deleting the app removes them.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your data, and the right to not have your data sold — which we don't do anyway. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address above.
Data retention & security
We keep your collection while your account is active and delete it on request. Data is protected in transit and at rest using industry-standard security via our providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't store payment details and we minimize what we collect in the first place.
Children
Qosmo isn't directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes & contact
If we change this policy, we'll post the update here and revise the effective date. Questions, requests, or concerns: support@qosmocollect.com.
